A little bit about my self and my journey with pottery.

I’m originally from Brazil, living in Australia since 2017, I have 2 little kids (3 and 5 y old). I really love this motherhood journey. I come from a Business Owner background in Brasil, for over 15 years, so for me transforming my pottery hobby on a small business happened very smoothly. I started my clay journey in 2020 as a hobby and then I wanted to make more and more and more, I first had half of a table at home, then I took the whole table, then I needed more space and we had a big toy room for the kids and I ended up taking half of the toy room for my little studio and when we moved houses I could have a full room for my self, which has been amazing.

In the middle of this process I had this urge to start running some workshops and bring to others the same joy I was having creating with clay. But I felt the need of having my own kiln, which was a big investment for me at the time, so I’ve decided to made a Fundraising, and people who collaborated would receive a piece of mine, so depending on the amount of they collaboration they would receive a Cup, or a Platter or a Dinner Set or a Bowl and etc…. Long story short, this was during covid time, so the kiln factory was shut, I did place the order anyway, because they said it would take roughly 1 year to be ready, I thought “that’s PERFECT, I will have 12 months to make the money to pay the balance”.

I wanted to share that story to encourage you to DREAM and do things with your heart and see how life unfolds beautifully. When I got my kiln, I named Kassandra and since then I’ve been running private and corporate events on the Gold Coast for more than 2 years now. It has been incredible, I love watching people creating and leaving the class feeling so proud of themselves.
